1)Getting Started
-----------------

Welcome to Gradekeeper 2000! This program is designed to help you
manage your grades in all of your classes through an easy-to-use,
graphical interface. Forget the hassle of easy to loose pen and paper,
G2K does it all for you!

After loading G2K through your TI-Graph Link (See Graph Link
instructions for sending programs), you will be presented with
the main screen, asking for what Quarter you are in. Assuming you
are in Quater 1, press 1. (press 2-4 if you are not in quater 1).

The next screen is the Grades Screen. This is where you will see all
of your subjects and their corresponding grades. Right now you have
no subjects entered.

To Add a subject, you may at this point press 5, or at this time and
any subsequent time you wish to Add a subject, you may choose Edit(2)
and then Add(2). The numbers in parentheses are keypresses.

On the Add screen menu you will see 2 bits of info: Number of subjects
and Number of those subjects that are of the AP Level (Advanced
Placement). At the bottom of the screen you are presented with 2
choices: Add-1 and Done-2. Pressing done will take you back to the
Grade Screen. Let's choose Add(1) to input subjects into G2K.

First it will prompt you for the subject's name. Type it in here using
Alpha-Lock (see TI manuel). The subject's name can not exceed 10
characters. Any more and they will be chopped off. If you typed in "AP"
as the first two characters in the name, G2K will automatically read
your subject as being an AP class and will set it as one. Otherwise,
you will be promted to tell G2K whether or not this subject is AP or
not. This is important for the calculating of your GPA. (Note: if AP
classes are not waited at your school, do not set them as AP or let
G2K set them as AP by typing "AP" as the first two characters. If at
your school Honors classes are waited, set them as AP so they will
be waited in GPA calculations. These problems may be addressed in
future revisions.) Continue to add your subjects until you are
finished and choose Done(2). (Note: there is a 5-subject limit on G2K.
You may have anywhere up to 5).

Now you can see that your new subjects have appeared in the Grade
Screen along with a "0/0" indicating that there are no points for that
subject.

2)Deleting a Subject
--------------------
You may completely delete a subject by pressing DEL on the calculator
and then highlighting the desired subject and then pressing ENTER.
Highlighting is discussed in topic 3.

3)Loading Points
----------------

To load points into a subject you can do one of two things: Choose
Edit(2) and Load(1), or use the shortcut by simply pressing ENTER
on the Grade Screen. Upon doing so you will see a box appear around
the first subject. This means that the first subject is selected. Use
the UP and DOWN arrows to scroll through your subjects. To return to
the Grade Screen without selecting a subject, press 0 (Zero). This
will always work when you want to back out of a choice onscreen,
including menues. When you have highlighted the one into whice you want
to load, hit ENTER. You will be then prompted for MYPTS (My Points) and
PTSPOS (Points Possible). If for some reason you made the wrong
selection, type in 0 and 0 and nothing will be added.

You can now see that the points were added in and a percentage was
calculated and a letter grade given.

4)Unloading Points
------------------
To unload any point values, select the subject and type in negative
values for MYPTS and PTSPOS. The points will then be subtracted.

5)Clearing a Subject
--------------------
If you wish to re-set a subjects point values to zero, choose Edit(2)
and Clr(3). Highlight the subject to be cleared and hit ENTER.

6)Changing a Subject's Name
---------------------------
To change the name of a subject, choose Edit(2) and ES(4) [ES stands
for 'Edit Subject'] Highlight the subject and press ENTER. Type in
the new name.

7)Viewing your quater Stats
---------------------------
Choose Calculate(3) and Stats(1). You will see the current quater's
Average Percentage and Grade Point Average.

8)Finding out how far from an 'A' a subject is
----------------------------------------------
Choose Calculate(3) and Pts(2). Select a Subject. G2K will then tell
you how many points that subject is away from being an 'A'
For example:
		8/10----1 Point away
		70/100--20 Points away
		50/50---0 Points away

Word of caution: don't dig yourself in too big a whole!
(Note: if G2K seems to be taking forever to find this, well, then you
might as well forget that 'A'!)

9)Testing a subject-"What if I got this grade..."
-------------------------------------------------
For all of those speculators out there and those who like to ask
'What If', this feature is for you. Say you have a test coming up
in Algebra, and your current grade is on the border. "What would I
have in Algebra if I got a 40/50 on this test?" Choose Calculate(3)
and Test(3) for the Projected Grade. Type in 40 and 50. G2K tells you
that 'If 40/50: 91.5" You know now that if you get a 40 out of 50
on this test, you will have a 91.5 percent total in Algebra. My
favorite feature.

10)Swithing between quaters
---------------------------
To switch from one quater to another you can a) Choose File(1) and
New(1) and Quater(3). This will take you to the opening screen, or
b) Choose Window(4) and select the quater number from there [This
is the easiest as you can see].

11)Starting a new Year: Erasing everything
------------------------------------------
To start a new year with fresh, new subjects, Choose File(1) and New(2)
and Year(3). This will erase everything, and you will be set up with
4 blank quaters and no subjects inputed.

12)Misc.
--------
You can scroll through the Menus on the top by using the LEFT and
RIGHT keys, in case you chose the wrong one (or find it fun).

Remember: Press 0 Zero to backout of any On-Screen selection, whether
it be a menu you selected or when a subject is highlighted and you
change your mind (hey, it can happen).

To Exit the program, Choose File(1) and Exit(3), or use the shortcut:
press the X,T,(Theta),n button. This also works on the main screen.

13)Menu Map
-----------

14)Version Info
---------------
Choose File(1) and About(2) for version info.
(Note: The first G2K released is of version 5.50. Only versions
preceeding this one released was Gradekeeper 99 version 4.x)

15-Storage Info (Important to Read)
-----------------------------------
Subject names are stored in String Variables Str1-Str5
If any of these get deleted after initial run-through, the program
will not run. You will have to re-declare deleted ones manually, by
going "TEXT HERE" (STO) (VARS) (7) (1-5).
Be careful of any other programs that you run that may manipulate these
String Variables.

Actual Grade Data are stored in 4 separate lists:
	GRD1
	GRD2
	GRD3
	GRD4
Deleting these will erase your data. Deleting these will not harm
the program, it will still function correctly, only all points will
be set to 0 and it will say that no subjects exsist.
